- Objective: To develop a comprehensive evidence base for strategichealth workforce planning in the Kyrgyz Republic by (i) projecting theavailability, skill-mix, and rural-urban distribution of health workers overthe next 30 years under various policy scenarios, and (ii) assessing the healthand economic implications of these scenarios on population health outcomes andproductivity. This integrated analysis will inform policymakers on how changesin health workforce policies—such as increasing production capacity andincentivizing rural service—can shape future health service access, improvehealth outcomes, and mitigate economic losses due to premature mortality andmorbidity, thereby supporting effective and equitable health systemstrengthening in the Kyrgyz Republic.
